N. Vanech, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dean N. Vanech is the founder and has served as the Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer of Olympus Power since its establishment in
January 2007. He also serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Olympus Holdings, LLC which maintains private equity
investment portfolios in energy, emerging technologies and the
performing arts. Previously Mr. Vanech served in that same capacity
as founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Power
Company, LLC from its establishment in 1999 until its sale to an
affiliate of Bear Stearns in January 2007. At its peak, Delta Power
owned interests in 26 operating power plants across the U.S, with
over $3 billion of assets and the responsibility for operating over
3000 MW of electricity generation. Prior to forming Delta Power, Mr.
Vanech co-founded Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, Inc., an international
electric power project development, finance and acquisition firm
with activities and investments in Europe and Asia as well as North
and South America. Prior to Rolls-Royce Power, Mr. Vanech was Vice
President-Marketing for Enserch Development Corporation (now TXU)
and was Vice President - Project Finance with Chrysler Capital
Corporation. Each of these firms maintained a portfolio of equity
and debt investments in projects in the US independent power and
environmental industries. Mr. Vanech commenced his career in the
power industry in 1986 with Catalyst Energy Corporation and held
finance related positions with other established firms including
Lever Brothers Company. Mr. Vanech has served on the boards of
several independent power projects and on numerous panels covering
the domestic and international power markets including his role as a
member of the board of directors of the National Independent Energy
Producers in Washington, DC (now part of the EPSA). Mr. Vanech has
also been featured in numerous business and industry publications
concerning independent power and the performing arts. Mr. Vanech
received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
(Marketing and Finance) from Western New England College in
Springfield, Mass.
