Brooklyn Navy Yard Cogeneration Project
 |
Brooklyn Navy Yard Cogeneration Project
is situated within the historic Navy Yard in Brooklyn, New
York. The project services all of the steam and electric
needs of the Navy Yard. While the Navy Yard continues to
support the merchant marine industry, its primary function
is now to host a diverse community of small commercial
and light industrial tenants that provide the essential goods and services to the
City of New York and to the world. Besides providing the energy
needs of the Navy Yard, the cogeneration plant is an
essential supplier of steam and electricity to Consolidated
Edison Company and in turn is a leading provider
of electricity and steam to the City of New York
