Michigan Power Project is situated
immediately adjacent to a large modern industrial facility
owned and operated by Dow Chemical, situated in Ludington
Michigan. The Michigan Project is a modern cogeneration
plant which provides Dow Chemical with all of its steam
requirements. The steam is an essential requirement to the
operation of the Dow facility. In addition, electricty is
generated and sold to Consumers Energy Company under a long
term power purchase
arrangement. |
